At Work

I'm at work now. And needless to say I shouldn't be blogging. Cos... its unethical :p Yeah well I'm just really tired and bored. And in so much pain from my sunburn. Do not, I repeat, do not suntan in California without sunblock. You will live to regret it, as I have. Currently, I have about 10 years of DNA damage waiting to bite me in the ass. In fact, I might be wrong, but I can feel some carcinomas/melanomas forming...

I realise that my time in La Jolla is coming to an end. How. How did time ever fly by so quickly? So much has happened during my stay here. I guess living abroad really means you'll have to depend on friends and with that added amount of interaction comes problems and friction. But there's also the sweet side to things, which is being able to share common experiences with friends you have come to treasure.

Learning to adapt to life on my own has been a wonderful experience. I never ever regretted coming here. I'm glad to say that I really can survive on my own now. (With money from my parents that is haha.) I can cook, clean, use the laundry machine (ahem) and am studying and working. Not bad if I do say so myself. What a contrast to the person I was. At home I never cooked. Never did laundry. Well, not that I couldn't but I didn't have to. I like the feeling of being self-sufficient. I'm ready to face the world! :p
