Black's Beach, UCSD and Hillcrest

Sunset at Black's Beach on April 8. Isn't it lovely? This place is about 5 minutes walk from my place. I'm a lucky girl :)

There's a gliderport right by where I live. People go there to hanglide and paraglide. Soooo cool and I always wanted to hanglide but have no $. Anyway when you go there the hangliders and paragliders fly right over you. Here's a picture I took of a paraglider. Can you imagine the kind of view he must be seeing? -wistful-

This is a shot of the coast and cliffs as I stood on Black's beach. I'm going to miss this place so much. Sometimes the beach is shrouded in fog, sometimes its sunny, sometimes its dreamy like it looks in the picture.

I walk past this place on the way to class. Its a canyon of sorts. Can you believe this school has a canyon of its own within its grounds? Life is so unfair! To the left of the picture is a quaint little wood with eucalyptus trees that creak as you walk through them. Sunlight filters through the leaves and creates a speckled pattern on the forest floor. Used to be one of my favourite haunts during winter quarter. It was so nice to walk there in the cool weather.

Here are some of the houses that I walk past on my way to work in Hillcrest. They look so posh! And I just don't understand why the sky here is bluer. It really is. Grass is greener too :p

A sight that I love to behold is that of a leafless tree. Don't ask me why but yeah I do. In Singapore a leafless tree probably means the thing is dead. How sad.

Pink Flowers that I pass by while walking to work too

The sign of Spring's arrival. A previously bald and leafless tree begins to put forth flowers. How poetic. I love the 4 seasons :)

Walk up this hill to go home. Steep right. But it always makes me think of the phrase "light at the end of the tunnel". Heh.
