Japan - Day 3 - Sanrio Puroland
First shot of the day. I dunno what this blur sotong is called but I think it looks quite funny. Haha.
Carine and I in the huge shop on the 3rd floor. They really have everything. Even Hello Kitty electrical appliances. Madness!
With loads of Cinnamorolls. That's the name of the dogs by the way. Background information: Real name: Cinnamon
Birthday: March 6
One day while the owner of Cafe Cinnamon was admiring the sky, a tiny white puppy came floating by, looking just like a small fluffy cloud. She thought, "Maybe he caught a whiff of the cinnamon rolls and came to check them out..." She was right! This curious little pup really took a shine to the cafe owner and her delicious cinnamon rolls, so he decided to stay. And since his tail was plump and curled up just like a cinnamon roll, she decided to call him Cinnamoroll. Sweet little Cinnamoroll was instantly popular with customers, and soon became Cafe Cinnamon's official mascot. Now, when he's not napping on the cafe terrace, you can find Cinnamoroll flying around town looking for fun, new adventures with his friends Chiffon, Mocha, Espresso, Cappuccino and, of course, little Milk!
Mina no Tabo :)
Bad Badtz Maru. He snatched the soft toy I bought (he's holding it in its hands) and refused to give it back! Even tried to run away... And he slapped me when I tried to get it back. Haha.
Surrounded by Hello Kittys. Oh man this picture is so saccharine sweet even I can't stand it.
Pom Pom Purin with the one that I bought.
By the Sanrio Puroland flag.
Carine and I. Very happy!
I know this pic is blur but the characters are so cute. I love these 2 a lot. Pom Pom Purin and Bad Badtz Maru. Sanrio does for me what Disney doesn't.
Valerie sits on a unicorn with a Hello Kitty flag. Where is my prince charming?
Ahem. Here's Carine and I being all mature.
Mina no Tabo and Keroppi. They're so cute. Argh!
With Princess Hello Kitty.
Kerroppi was my favourite character when I was a kid. Kerrokerrokerroppi! And k fine I haven't grown up.
At the Keio-Tama Center Station just before we went back.
At night Carine and I went to Shinjuku to meet Yosuke, our Japanese friend from UCSD. While walking to the restaurant, we saw durian! The king of all fruits. But please look at the prices. 4000 yen is 66.67 SGD. And to think in Geylang you can get them for a dollar each. Japan is the land of the overpriced.
At "Asian Kitchen", the restaurant in the Sumitomo building at West Shinjuku. We ate on the 49th floor. Unfortunately, there weren't any window seats for us as they were all occupied. The food was also... not very authentic? The mee goreng I had tasted nothing like what we have in Singapore. Left to right: Carine, me, Yosuke and Tomoko, a friend he brought along who had just finished her exchange program in NUS.
