Japan - Day 7 - Daikanyama, Shinjuku and Ginza
Spent Saturday with my brother since he doesn't need to work. He brought me to Daikanyama, which supposedly has a lot of nice shops with nice clothes (that I can't really afford to buy). Had a walk around, then we went to Shinjuku followed by Ginza. Japan is so expensive that I don't really dare to buy anything. Transport costs and food are enough to kill me. This is a post-US and post-Europe me, and I still find everything here terribly expensive. Scary...

My brother and I in a shop that sells modern minimalist furniture and household stuff. That's us in the reflection, and me trying to take a big bite of a fake hot dog, complete with fake sausage, fake bread and fake mustard :)

Huge fake coconut tree in Daikanyama.

This was in Shinjuku if I didn't remember wrongly. I can't figure out what the guy was trying to do... Sell them? Too many people crowded around. Anyway these rabbits were really tiny and cute (they'd fit comfortably in your hand), and the old guy was trying to feed one of them milk from a little tube. He started gesturing at us not to take photos, but we'd already taken one. Heh.

Evening in Ginza, a posh shopping district. Walked past Gucci and all those brands. This kind of view with all the neon-lit buildings is so distinctive of Japan, or should I say, Tokyo. The bustling city life that I'm slowly trying to get used to.

Muji, my favourite store! This here is the largest Muji store in Tokyo, I don't know about Japan but probably that too. Its a building on its own and has 3 floors. They sell everything from potted plants to furniture to food to makeup. And their ice cream is soooo good. Chocolate ice cream covered in dark chocolate and Espresso milk ice cream in a wafer. Yum! Headed home after this. Dead tired from all the walking.
