虾 - Tuesday Sept 20

Cooked prawns again today. Cooking in this weather really can die! Deep frying and all. And the oil exploded in my face. Fortunately I'm not permanently disfigured or anything :p

Prawns, prawns, prawns. The aroma is heavenly :)

Yummy! Slurp.

Tired Feet - Monday Sept 19

Met Steph today. It was great to see you babe! I seem to be extra intelligent around her. For instance, today I had a vague idea that I wanted to go to Marina. At this point of time, Marina to me carried vague connotations of a shopping centre and I wasn't so bothered by little details such as whether I meant Marina Square or Marina Bay. So I told her to meet at Marina Bay (the mrt) since I assumed Marina Square would be there.

Yes, needless to say, I was wrong. We took a very deserted train to Marina Bay, only to be greeted by a construction hut, lots of grass and nothing resembling civilisation in sight. Closer inspection of the locality map (see pictures appended) revealed that I was mistaken in thinking I was anywhere near Marina Square. So we had to take a train back to City Hall and walk all the way to Marina Square, which incidentally was under construction and hence did not hold much promise. We then walked back to Suntec to watch The Longest Yard and then sat around before heading to town to have a drink. Many miles traversed, many topics talked about ;p

Anyhow, bon voyage Steph! See you in winter/or summer depending when you get back -hugs-

This shocking sight greeted me as I came out of the MRT station. I thought I was back in the kampong era.

The locality map reveals the presence of... nothing around the MRT station. One solitary grey building in the middle of nowhere.

The sign I saw in Marina Bay MRT station which proves that I'm not the only dumb person out there! Hah. On the other hand, it really does bring out my stupidity. La dee dum.

Outside Wheelock Place. Why the silly ang moh dunno how to take picture properly? We are exceedingly tiny!

Mid Autumn Festival at the Botanic Gardens - Sunday Sept 18

Sunday was fun! KC had a brilliant idea to go to carry lanterns and I hadn't had a lantern for umpteen years so I thought it would be interesting. Went to the botanic gardens with Lynn, Bernice, William, Carine, Zhenying and KC. We walked a bit, lighted our lanterns at a pavillion and watched the moon rise. It was huge and very very bright! More walking around and taking pictures with cute little boys before we played with some sparklers. After that, we walked a bit before sitting down somewhere to talk and drink tea from paper cups. Haha.

First picture of the day with Carine. We have the same lantern! Mine is the smaller version of hers. It has a picture of Pom Pom Purin, a Sanrio character I like.

Purin! Purin is a good natured Golden Retriever who dreams of growing up and becoming a big dog - just like his mother and father! His birthday is April 16. He spends most of his time napping(me too) or going on walks with his best friend, Muffin. He loves to drink milk (me too) and eat foods that are nice and soft - just like pudding! Everyone had just lit their lanterns :)

With 2 small cute boys we met in the park. Left to right: Lynn, me, Zhenying, Eliot, Carine, Joshua and Bernice

Happy Lynn and happy Valerie

Life Science people :)
