Lynn Koh's Birthday Party at Aloha Loyang - Saturday 22nd October

The eastern part of Singapore is the no. 1 place that I am lazy to go because it is SO far away from my house! Ok so I made an exception for Koh Lin Lynn who was having a large scale birthday celebration at Aloha Loyang. We were supposed to meet at Pasis Ris MRT station at 7.30 and surprisingly, and non-characteristically I might add, I was early and the rest were late. We took the free shuttle to Aloha Loyang before wandering like lost sheep to find Lynn's chalet. Our criteria for deciding whether or not any particular chalet we passed by was hers or not was to estimate the no. of people present. Cos this woman said she had 50 relatives coming! The Koh mafia I call it. So we walk past a chalet, peer in and say "no la, can't be hers, too few people" before moving on. Haha. Anyways, after a while, we arrived at the right place.

Much food was provided by her family. I especially liked the tuna sushi rolls. And the icy cool lemonade cos it was so hot! Her family was really a raucous bunch. And I really liked the Sailor Moon Lynn that was made by Lynn's friends. So funny! Lynn insisted that only the head was hers and it was photoshopped onto the body but I wonder...

After dinner and the cutting of the cake, everyone siamed away from Lynn because water bombs were incoming! Lynn, in pretty top and skirt, was bombarded from all directions by water bombs and eggs (?). Some of the stuff splashed onto me and even as I tried to make my escape, Lynn Koh crashed into me and we both nearly fell to the ground. Haha! Lucky I didn't otherwise I'd have a bruised butt and be very paiseh.

Quite uneventful after that, Lynn Koh opened her presents and we all left after that. But it was an interesting event to witness :p Thanks Lynn for the food and invitation! Happy birthday!

Carine's Birthday Dinner at Crystal Jade - Friday 21st October

Friday saw us assembling at Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao at Holland Village to celebrate Carine's birthday for her. I love Crystal Jade! Ok that's not important. Yup the girls had fun talking and taking photos, while KC and William debated on the state of NUSSU or something. I don't really remember. Dinner was good, I had my jiu3 cai4 shui3 jiao3 as usual, a donated xiao3 long2 bao1, and some donated noodles, soup and 1 shui3 jiao3. Hahaha. Considered ordering dessert but remembered in the nick of time that there was gonna be a cake! After the cake cutting and eating, it was time for the presentation of the presents. I'm glad Carine and Bernice seemed to like what they got. Lynn got no present cos we hate her. Haha ok no we don't cos she got separate birthday party tomorrow mah! So she shall be patient and get hers tomorrow :)

I am the only non-MOE/USP person here! Have been receiving hints to might as well become a teacher too :p Cannot la, I will jiao1 huai4 xiao3 hai2 zi3 one. (A lot of my teachers up to JC didn't like me cos I always skipped school and never pay attention. Not that I improved a lot now...
