Day 2 - Disneyland

The whole of today was devoted to Disneyland! First, we took the bus out to Tung Chung. Disneyland turned out to be pretty small but what with all the walking around and shopping we did manage to spend an entire day there, giving rides like the merry-go-round and flying Dumbo a miss. The shows were of a fantastically high quality and left me very very impressed! They managed to make up for an otherwise lacklustre Disneyland, due to its small size and lack of good rides. Singers were excellent, dancing was good, stage presence was great.

Step 1: Take the Tung Chung Line to Sunny Bay station to change to the Disneyland Resort Line. Posted by Picasa

Their trains have these door thingies, which reminds me of the hullabaloo caused by the series of people who died in the MRT incidents. Hm. Posted by Picasa

The train solely dedicated to bring visitors to Disneyland. Very cool!!! Has Mickey mouse shaped windows and handle bars, and figurines of Disney characters in illuminated glass cases.  Posted by Picasa

Love this train. Posted by Picasa

Space Mountain. Quite disappointing! I thought it was just a tent initially. Was really looking forward to this ride, cos the last time I visited Disney in LA, it was under repair. As I took the ride, I was subjected to lots of turns, but the sheer drop I was waiting for never came. Effectively, the thing just goes up all the way at the beginning and sort of spirals all the way down. Posted by Picasa

Dunno what's this 3-eyed thing from Toy Story is called. I forgot. Posted by Picasa

Rows of Disney plush toys. I like the new designs better. The older designs didn't really look cute to me at all but these new ones do!  Posted by Picasa

Blonde me. Gross, I know. I think that's either a Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty wig. Cinderella's should be blue right? So Sleeping Beauty then. Posted by Picasa

Jill buys a Mickey Mouse ice cream. Needless to say, it costs more than the normal shapeless ice creams. Jill looks happy to be swindled haha! I am also very prone to such swindling.. Posted by Picasa

Kawaii ne! So did you cover the 'exciting' things in Disneyland in one day, minus the Dumbo and merry-go-round as you've mentioned? Wow! Such a pity you didn't leave with a Prince Charming.. ;)
