Day 5 - Mongkok and the Airport

The last day was supposed to be spent in Stanley market but Jill told me its another touristy spot and prices would be higher. So we decided to just take our time and have a leisurely day in Mongkok around where we were living. Wake up slowly, pack our stuff to check out, then go for breakfast. Very shiok! I had my shrimp chang fen and milk tea. Hongkong's milk tea tastes so different from ours. Then it was time to do our last minute shopping, which resulted in us having to draw more money from the bank ^^

Langham Place, near Mongkok MTR. This is a very nice shopping mall cum hotel that has very nice architecture and a dessert place that's famous for its durian desserts. Wanted to eat but no time. They also have a Toa Payoh Chicken Rice stall in the food court but then its not very Toa Payoh-ish at all :p Was hoping to see some kind of Singaporean hangout thingy but the staff look like they don't know where Toa Payoh is.  Posted by Picasa

Jill came to see me off before I left for the airport. Very paiseh cos the bus came within like 3 minutes of us meeting. So we had to hurriedly take a picture before I scurried up the bus with all my barang. Will miss you Jill! Posted by Picasa

After checking in we went to get our dinner to bring onto the plane. Haha beside the food court area there are some big toy planes and we pretended to be pilots. This was done in order to partially fulfill my wish of being a pilot. No time to learn to be a real one so I pretend pretend for fun. Posted by Picasa

Last picture taken on the trip. My doggie Pluto from Disney with my cap, taken while on the plane. Jetstarasia flights are very very boring! Posted by Picasa
