First Week of School
Feel a little sad nowadays as I think of all the people who are overseas on exchange. I would give up a lot just to go on exchange again heh. Little in the way or responsibilities or pressures. The first week of school has been an uncharacteristically busy one. Its hard to imagine that I was still in Hongkong just a week ago. The first 3 days of UROPS have consisted of me going to school at 8am, having class in between but otherwise being stuck in lab until 7 or 8 plus. It always seems like I'm the last one there too. How come ah. K la I must 振作 and try my best to do well this sem. After this there's still one more year of honours to go before I leave NUS. Sooo long~
Because it takes me more than an hour to get home, I've been toying with the idea of staying on campus too. But that means no aircon unless I fork out lots and lots of moolah! I also dunno whether there are any vacancies...
I tutored my kid again today. I really would like to be patient but she drives me up the wall. She nods when I explain things, then says huh? when I ask her the same thing 5 seconds later. She failed her chem test. When I asked her why, she said she was really careless. What did she mean by that? She mixed up sodium chloride and barium chloride. What else I don't know, because I asked her to bring her chem test for me to see but oh, she forgot.
Teacher aide stuff. Ok, I don't really know how to design the protocols at all. Madness la how do they suddenly expect us to become experiment designers? I need to come up with one on HPLC and one to test what substances ants are repelled by. Haha.
Lastly, travel service stuff. There, all the things I have to do on top of schoolwork and research. Not much at all :p
