Yippee!
Woke up late today and was taking forever to gather my documents to go for the US visa interview... Old passports and what not. Had to first go down to Novena to collect my interview letter. Got the shock of my life when I alighted from the cab outside the embassy! There was such a long queue -bleah- So everyone was waiting in the sweltering sun, with the occasional fanning and the sweat-stained shirt as indications of our discomfort. Was kinda worried I wouldn't make it in in time since the interviews were only supposed to go on till 11, but luckily the guard eventually let everyone in :)
The interviews were quite entertaining. One of the interviewing officers spoke really loudly, so everyone could hear what the conversational exchange was like between her and her "victim". This one girl was quite poor thing, by the time her interview was over I think everyone knew her family history :p Parents divorced, one of them in Kenya, brother in Singapore, etc. And this other guy! He's from China and came here to be part of some church, and the woman kept asking him are you an ordained minister? Evangeliser? And he couldn't answer. After a while she started saying, sir, you've been rejected 5 times, so I can see you are really desperate. This, of course, made him even more desperate... Ah well. And then there are the people who don't know what an index finger is and insist on using their thumbs to give their fingerprints :)
Ok. Enough of the pointless ramble. Back to work (or anime if my willpower lapses).
